Greg's Bio

 

 

“I am a photographer because I love it. My dad and his dad were both camera enthusiasts. I took it up as a way to preserve present moments for subsequent amusement and reflection.” -Greg Nystrom

Greg earned a B.F.A. degree with honors in Photographic Illustration from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1975. He has performed as an actor on stage, in film and television. Greg is a bicyclist. He is a friend, companion, uncle, brother, and son. He has operated a photography business in South Florida, Seattle, WA and Los Angeles for more than twenty years.

Continuing education in lighting techniques, business practices, Photoshop and many skills within the realm of media production have become a source of appreciation for Greg.

He has teamed with architectural firms, law firms, cruise lines, independent agents, writers, actors and entertainers to design photographs for business promotions. In addition, he has covered events for the American Bar Foundation, Dale Carnegie Training, n-Link, NACE, Apple Physical Therapy, Avenues of Art and Design and Ford Customer Service, among others. He considers it a privilege to create images for individuals and businesses.

Greg asks, “How does one create circumstances to achieve a state of collaboration?” The outcome of the cooperation is intended to achieve revelation of character and story. Known to some as “the painless photographer,” Greg Nystrom is all about revealing the humanity of his collaborators.
